What I’m Taking Travelling to South America

//What I’m Taking Travelling to South America

I love packing! Especially for adventures. As my friends and family will all agree, in life I am supremely disorganised and leave a trail of mess in my wake wherever I go. But when it comes to travelling the world, I like to get organised. Before I actually set off, anyway.

We’re going to South America for around five months, during which time we will visit tropical rainforest, soaring mountains, arid deserts, frozen glaciers, sunsoaked beaches, ancient ruins and buzzing cities. Such a variety of climates and dress-codes makes packing rather complicated.

So I decided to copy all those travel bloggers who post their smug, neatly laid out packing lists on Pinterest. It is actually a really useful way of working out what you have, what goes with what, and what you still need.

But if the above picture isn’t enough for you, here it is in list form as well. I’ve crossed out things I initially packed but removed last minute to save space.

I’m taking a 70+10l Decathlon rucksack with a suitcase zip opening.

Each of the categories is going in its own packing cube/makeup bag to make it easier to find and organise things on the move.
